Dwight Rd., Mazon, IL Upgrade
The signals at this crossing got some new equipment on it. First, they got new gate mechanisms. The old Safetrans were replaced with newer ones with smaller counterweights. Second, the lights were changed from incandescent to Dialight Ball LEDs, but still in the same frames. And lastly, the dead WCH bell has been replaced with a GS type 2 e bell. I went there today and saw a train there almost before dark and man are those lights bright. They almost made me see red the rest of the night lol. Here are some grab shots. Better ones will come hopefully next weekend or week.

BNSF isn't the big intermodal carrier in Houston, it is UP. Three BNSF lines that I know of, two of them are mainly coal, the other one is intermodal. I do not know what BNSF does around here, but the BNSF's nearest line to me is 25 miles away from me. Maybe if I have time on Easter weekend...
Back on topic, BNSF's staple around here is 12X24" GS LEDs and GS Type 2 E-bells and TWO CROSSBUCKS PER SIGNAL.

BNSF in Arizona uses either GS LEDs on the Seligman sub or Harmon fading LEDs on the newer installations on the Phoenix (Peavine) sub, GS type 2 e-bells, Harmon cantilevers, US&S Model 95 gate mechs, Safetran and US&S 12"x24" frames and Safetran bases.
