Flashing or Still Ditchlights?

Can't have signals without railroads, so talk about your favorite locomotives, railroads and any other (non signal) railroad related stuff.

Flashing or Still Ditchlights?

Post by TommyBNSF »

Here's something I've been wondering. Do you guys prefer flashing ditchlights like on CSX, NS, and Amtrak or still ditchlights like on BNSF, UP, CN, and CP. I prefer flashing. I think it adds a little more action.

Ok, consider this, put your ass inside a locomotive at night with those stupid things alternating. It will drive you crazy, and makes it harder to see whats going on than if you cut the damn things off.

Daytime, ok, at night, just stupid to alternate.

Just the facts, ma'am.

Yah at night those things are awful, but its about alerting people to hopefully stop and not run into your train.
