Interview

Talk about other non-signal stuff here. Make sure to obey the rules though.

Interview

Post by owensri »

Hey y'all, I got a job interview coming up for next week with NSC (National Signal Corporation)...

The guy said he's definately interested in an interview...and my qualifications are what they are looking for. I told him, and stated in the application as well (it was submitted over a year ago) that I have experience with signal testing...and maintenance.

He asked also if I was willing to relocate...and I said if I have to, that's no problem. He has about 50 open crossings in Indiana, north of Evansville...so I may be moving if I get the job and there isn't anything closer...

I'm really excited...as you all know...I would do anything in the world to get a job with railroad signals....

Hmmmmmmm....Indiana.... Well, it sure sounds like something fun. Too bad CN never got back to you... You would've had a lot of fun with all those triple and quad crossings.

Yeah, but I wouldn't of had that territory anyways, since the maintainer I know has it already. It would be nice though to get out of this area for a while....that's for sure...

Something I noticed about that company, is that they have LEDs.

Apparently, they use GE/Harmon's fading LEDs, and is available in both 8" and 12" sizes!

They range from $162 to $167 per 8" light, or $182 to $202 per LED light, however there is a teeny-weeny discount if you buy in bulk.

Any good crossings for the main part of the site too? Not just for the forum?
