Looks dormant? Thats some dang good looking track there, for a branch or shortline. Scan on into town and see you'll some freshly re-paved crossing surfaces too.
Just the facts, ma'am.

Is this some new kind of Virginia rail initiative... placing "DO NOT STOP ON TRACKS" signs on about every signalized crossing?

Give me good old "STOP ON RED SIGNAL" any day of the week.

DNSOT should be reserved for crossings in the area of an intersection with a queuing hazard, IMO.
Well, :Censored:

Do Not Stop On Tracks is an Obama bailout sign that's posted everywhere :LOL3:
Damn thing is useless. Need to go back to common sense, stop on the tracks and get nailed by a train, OH WELL.

Mama said there was no use in a stupid "1 Track" sign, nor any requirement, so she didn't do it.

And I'll be sure to keep your maturity level in mind for the future, sir... :Okay: :Tongue1:

Here's one in Utah.

A couple of notes of interest... notice the signal on the right has an inverted crossing sign. Also, if you spin around 180 degrees, someone is painting the RXR sign in the street.

I remember this one. I saw that about 6-9 months ago when I looked around there for fun. Quite unique for sure... I kind of wish that kind of sign can come back, but with the reflective rule on newer signs, I doubt that can ever be used ever again (at least for public crossings).
