Almost Packed...

Talk about other non-signal stuff here. Make sure to obey the rules though.

Almost Packed...

Post by AndrewFields »

I've got my car almost loaded with my stuff for my conductor's training (no pun intended) class in Kansas and I'm leaving tomorrow morning at 9 AM, hoping to make it to Salt Lake City by 8 PM.

Getting this much stuff loaded was more difficult than it looks. I had to pack it just so that everything would fit AND so the cargo cover would close with nothing poking into it. Took about ten minutes to get right. I'm going to burn some CDs tonight and call it good.

You think your car gets bad mileage? SP 4449 consumes 10 gallons of bunker oil and 100 gallons of water every mile.

Have you heard of NARS in Overland Park? I'm hoping to get work with the P&W as I really want to stay in the Portland area.
Yeah, I've been wanting to go there. CN sends you there for training for free...but the hard part is getting in first. It's about $6,000 for the classes.

I'll take some pictures for you and let you know how things go. I'm taking their conductor's course...I take it you'd be enrolling in the signal courses?
