Yea, you just get that little hard drive camera to shaking and see what happens to it. We went through 2 of them already, no more.
Just the facts, ma'am.

It was actually recorded from my iPhone. LOVE the convenience, but without an image stabilization feature, as you can see, it does degrade the quality a bit, and I had the camera firmly on my steering wheel and it still came out shakey.

Hard drive cameras are great AS long as you buy good quality ones, NOT a cheap $200 flip camera

Negative. We went through 2 JVC's at the Railroad, it has been a few years ago, but I remember one, we put foam padding around a front handrail on a locomotive and taped the JVC hard drive camera to it to video the rail line, the vibration screwed the camera up to the point it was rendered useless (Disk/Drive error or something), the other we put a foam pad under it and sat it on the front walkway, and the vibration apparently screwed it up too, same thing, after only 15 or so mins. But when we tried to do the same with an old fashioned VHS camera, then with an SD card video camera, they both worked just fine.

Well, it seems YouTube has its own video editing software now, and in that software is an anti-shake feature. Here's that same vid with the anti-shake:

I wouldn't exactly call it a miracle (doesn't elimiate ALL of the shake, plus, it trims the frame a bit), but it does make it a lot better than it was! :TUP2:

Wow... like you said, it isn't perfect, but it's a pretty good improvement compared to the original video.

Taken today. This is a"modified" version for YouTube. I still have the original version of which I will be taking screenshots of to send in as photos. As the YouTube vid notes, the original is pretty shaky, but it will NOT take away from the quality of the photos.

Guess all good things do come to an end. I remember that line back in 2003, Now I hear Cohoes is going to get upgraded. There are at least 15 crossings down there with fully original WRRS/GRS equipment, you should go get pictures of it, other wise you'll be wishing you did. I have yet to see another section of track on a busy line with equipment that old and I would kill to go up there and see it again.
