WCH Mechanical.
Re: Favorite Mechanical Bell
Actually, come to think of it...WABCO is not listed. I'd choose WABCO, and US&S Teardrop...

WABCO has been added, but it reset the votes, so everyone has to re-vote again.

Re: Favorite Mechanical Bell
Although it's not listed as an option, I'm gonna say my favorite is the Westinghouse Hybrid. Main reason is because it's the bell I've heard most in my life and I'm very familiar with it...
Metro, why do you keep removing Mechanical bells?!

1) Teardrop
2) Westinghouse Hybrid
3) WCH
Teardrops are by far my favourite, either the US&S or the McKenzie & Holland ones from Australia (I'm an Aussie). I like the clicking sound they make, and their slower ring rate. The shape of the housing looks awesome.
I like the sound of the gong on the Westinghouse Hybrid, they are a well made and long lasting bell. It's a real shame they are no longer made.
I really like the WCH bells as well as their predecessors (WRRS and FS). There are still plenty in Australia and I'm used to the sound, but really I'm not that fussy. I like all mechanical bells.

Re: Favorite Mechanical Bell
I wasn't sure which one I like the most, as I love both WC Hayes and Safetran mechanical bells. Of the two, I'm gonna go with the Safetran. I like its tone a bit better, but the WC Hayes isn't far behind.

Re: Favorite Mechanical Bell
Don't know if they actually exist, as all I've ever seen (even on GRS installs) has been WRRS mechanical bells. I do know GRSA bells exist in Argentina though, and I don't think they're really any different from a WRRS mechanical bell, other than the logo on the back.nickrink wrote:I've never heard or seen a GRS Mechanical Bell. Is there any video or one?
They/Them for me, please.
