Another West Chicago Update...!?

When I first started on this site I felt as if I made a pretty interesting contribution with the West Chicago setup. I admit though I probably contributed to much... LOL. Anyway, with a recent trip to West Chicago I found out that the CN completely upgraded the Access Road crossing.

This is the page on Mike's site of what the crossing used to be under the EJ&E.

I like the new set up. As long as it's a soft, not so loud, toned Safetran type 3, I wouldn't mind it.

Yeah... I agree. Nice upgrade. It's very rare that you see new gateless installations going in these days.

Mike would be happy... this was his favorite type of setup if I remember correctly.
