A diamond in the middle of a crossing! Have to wonder if the small mast gate off of that side road is controlled separately. Traffic from that part would not need to stop if the train was on the tracks to the left of that road.

This photo is what made me go check this intersection out.

That crossing is on CSX's Valrico & Bone Valley Subdivisions. I was there recently & some things have changed. The crossing got WCH 2nd Gen LED's & both WCH M-bells are not working leaving the GS Type 2 as the only working bell.

Thanks guys... didn't remember that it was on the site... but after looking at the site's pictures again I do remember seeing it before.

Well I pretty much answered my own question... found a couple of video's of this crossing on Youtube and it does appear that signal activates anytime the other signals do.

...FYI, this crossing, as well as the rest of those in Statesboro, are in much, much better shape now since this was taken, and I have maintenance over them.

I noticed a few things wrong, but yah there much better. CSXT maintainer out here needs to fix way more, its sad when a shortline has better crossings. A&GR takes really good care of their signals down here.

I remember that crossing from awhile back... especially that cantilever that is turned so sharply.

The original design, and on the old prints, shows that cantilever and gate mech in question considerably back away from the tracks and facing properly. Apparently local conditions and possibly pressure from the city and the store owner there wanting a wider driveway, played a part in them being moved to their current location. Had I been there, I would have fought that all the way, but some folks don't care.
