What appears to be a freshly abandoned signal. On the old Union Pacific Pequot Subdivision. How do I figure? The track is ripped up where it would have interchanged with the BNSF line, and the track is rusty with overgrowth.

The gates rise at the Crown Two Mine Rd. crossing in Virden, IL after a NB BNSF coal train passes.

Was lucky enough to catch a work train crossing Ash Street in Springfield on my way home from my morning job. Have been wanting to catch these signals in action for quite some time now. The is a screen shot from a video... I am posting the video on the Video page for those interested.
