Re: Blissfield, MI
It's been awhile now, but those signals have on this forum before awhile back.
I remember them because of the red lights attached at the bottom of the signals to (hopefully) keep people from hitting the concrete posts at night. So far it looks like that idea has worked pretty good!

Now if they'd just spend the money to put some backgrounds on the lightheads...
Well,

As of 2014, the signals are no longer there.

You mean they updated them I believe? We had this discussion recently in another section. https://www.google.com/maps/@41.832835, ... !2e0?hl=enToledoRailfan wrote:As of 2014, the signals are no longer there.

Re: Blissfield, MI
I came across two photos posted on flickr of the old signals and figured a thread had to have been started on this forum.
The light units look to be model CL-10 made by The Railroad Supply Company (before the 1932 change to Western Railroad Supply).
Here is a link to download the 1927 RRS catalog (scroll halfway down the page). You'll undoubtedly find other items to download there as well.

Here are the two photos:

You can see in these fairly large photos that the gate lights below are in part held up by wires. Too bad these old gems had to go. At least they kept the concrete pedestals.
