We all have memories of childhood lines and crossings, I went on a trip to Dallas, Tx in 2007 I loved it there.
I know this has been posted on the site, but I find it cool that a rail line went from a trail to a busy commuter line.

I speak my mind, if you don't like that oh well. I'll have you fill out a hurt feelings report and submit that to my office.

Look what was lurking in the trees on the other side of that crossing:

That tree is wrapped around that signal pretty good!

Also, the guy in the sleeveless T-shirt is intrigued by the Google car.

And here's the relay case too:

Notice the stuffed bear leaning on it. I wonder if somebody died here or if it was left on accident.

This relay case also states that there was signals at this crossing too:
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... ,7.17&z=20

What's also surprising is that this line isn't documented on abandonedrails.com (I was hoping that there was some information about it on there :Awww: ).

Damn you've been busy looking up things in my back yard there brick. :LOL3:

Also Brookley Field has a ton of abandoned spurs.
CN/IC crosses the NO&M at Lawrence St to get to Mcduffie Coal terminal which is where that track at Virginia St protected by the FL crossing goes. Terminal Railway Alabama State Docks (TASD) has a bunch of spurs in the area also and they control all movement around the port, because if CSX did it would be a war zone

Have any plans to head to northern Alabama anytime soon? You could probably get some pictures of all of the crossings in Birmingham because I've been busily documenting the crossings around Huntsville. I've got a ton of photos to post of crossings on the HMCR.
