I would have said this was out of service, too based on the condition of the tracks in Street View and aerial view, but there are freight cars parked to the south that change in the views (two tank cars in Street View, one gondola in aerial). The tank cars look like they hadn't been moved in a long time at the time of the street view, but they had to have moved them somehow and I'm not sure how. The tracks don't connect to anything at the south end (where the diamond was) and the north end looks to be impassable with large rocks and other debris strewn on the tracks at each crossing.

That line also continues south of where the diamond was.

There are some cars stored on that line just north of where the active spur branches off. They look to have been there a long time based on the rust, although it's difficult to say whether they're actually "abandoned" as the photographer claims. Some of the storage cars around the WSOR and ELS systems have sat in the same spot for years, with weeds, bushes and even sapling trees growing on the tracks and up between the cars, but they're still owned by somebody and if the owner ever wants to use them, the railroad will have to make the line passable and pull them out.

I don't know much about this, but there are some abandoned tracks I'm aware of. In Yardville, NJ, there is this line of tracks that have been removed in the north and gradually are working their way down south. When you get to Bordentown, they connect with NJ Transit's Riverline. Does anyone know what these are?
