Re: Bell only crossings
Seeing this thread come forward again reminded me of a crossing I found in Davenport, IA recently, completely by luck:

Also if you look to the right there is a nice 45 degree crossbuck on that side of the crossing.

There's two crossings with just bells (and cat-eye crossbucks!) in Alexandria on what appears to be a private line. I'm going to get pictures of it, along with a few other things, next time I'm up there.

Re: Bell only crossings
After looking around near that crossing, I found a crossbuck that had a 4 tracks sign, but the tracks have been ripped out.cabman701 wrote:Seeing this thread come forward again reminded me of a crossing I found in Davenport, IA recently, completely by luck:

Re: Bell only crossings
There is also this rather oddball crossbuck at this intersection: http://goo.gl/maps/tv4bh. Compared to the stop sign, it looks quite a bit larger than a normal crossbuck.ToledoRailfan wrote:After looking around near that crossing, I found a crossbuck that had a 4 tracks sign, but the tracks have been ripped out.cabman701 wrote:Seeing this thread come forward again reminded me of a crossing I found in Davenport, IA recently, completely by luck:
