Did come across something in Huntersville NC that is somewhat similar
Not quite the same because they have two lights pointed each way (which is the way it should be). The one's in Ashland have 1 light pointing forward and one sideways.
However, in my opinion the signal in your link should have a set of lights facing all 4 directions.
I guess ur rite. Both of them look similar to me because you dont see anything that looks like that where i am but I guess thats just me!
I'd like to know if there such a thing for violations. We'd be reporting many with the incorrectly installed gate stripes many times daily if such a thing does exist.
It wasn't like that when the crossing was in use I'm sure. Someone has done that intentionally (vandalism)... or it has gotten turned by the wind. And since no one is maintaining the crossing it just stays like that indefinitely.

It's been like that for a long time. Passed through there a lot. Just as well Lambertville got knocked out from Hurricane Sandy(I don't live too far from there but the the wind gusts were fierce but still) and the date shows that that is a possibility. The New Hope & Ivyland had a crossing just across the river which can't be viewed that got banged up I mean the gate was bent from where the gate holder should be holding it and up.
