Weird, unusual Crossing

The lights were position to be visible around the mast so it looks derpy(in my own words).

I was browsing around my crossing area to check out any crossings I'm thinking of taking some pictures to put on this site and I come across a weird looking signal just southwest of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

If it wasn't for that one weird signal on the eastern side of the crossing, I would think the western side had something to do with the road intersection next to the crossing

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the remaining signal doesn't even work either.

Also, the lenses were yellow and not red, so I think they probably used to flash 24/7, but are now out of service:

Agreed. There is no railroad "control box" at the crossing. All that would have been needed to make those flash 24/7 is a simple flasher module which if I had to guess is probably on this telephone pole under the electric meter: https://www.google.com/maps/@30.4023412 ... 6656?hl=en

The flasher appears to have been located under the lower light on each "signal":
