Is that line still active? I have seen several videos of trains on that line and always wanted to see some of those signals close up.
Interesting that on several of those smaller streets (almost alleys) they have lights that are mounted directly onto telephone poles:

I just answered my own question by going to satellite view...cabman701 wrote:Is that line still active?

Although, I'm not sure how to tell how old that image is.

I'd like to see this in action:
https://maps.google.com/maps?ll=40.8610 ... 6&t=m&z=11
It's a NS line by the way. According to Google Earth, the satellite image is from 2012.

Going back to the crossing that started this thread, it had the same type of "cantilever" at one time: http://goo.gl/maps/Z2aK7freebrickproductions wrote:I'd like to see this in action:

Appears that NS just decided to scrap it at some point and slap some regular flashers on the pole.

Found a couple of video's I have been looking for:
In this first one, go to 7:00 minute mark to see some of these signals in action.
Here's another one...
And perhaps the best one by far...
I'm starting to think that the signal mentioned as being vandalized is actually just getting beat up... most likely by truck drivers cutting the corner too close. The 3 video's above show that signal in different levels of damage / repair.

This is the video I watched before I used Google Maps to view the crossings and pretty good footage I might add.cabman701 wrote: And perhaps the best one by far...
