Not to get off topic, but Pontiac Trail, 2 crossings east of that one, has a mini bell.ToledoRailfan wrote:I was just searching through Google Street View in the Ann Arbor Michigan area and I came across this!

The US&S Teardrop bell in Nashville is still there, although it's a bit damaged:

Re: Locations Of Currently Existing US&S TEARDROPS
Not sure if anyone's mentioned it yet, but Pepper Avenue crossing recently received a complete overhaul. It's now equipped with GS Type 2 E-bells mounted atop the masts and 12x24 flashers (Safetran? WC Hayes? I didn't happen to notice) mounted on the old US&S brackets.
And, of course, this sums up my reaction quite well...
Also an addendum--as of December 2013, the "Pier A Place (Los Angeles, California)" crossing no longer has a US&S Teardrop bell. Another such drive-by while on the way to the San Pedro trolley reveals that it has been replaced with another GS E-bell, albeit the RACO mechanism still survives.
