A happier ending on the former SP/ATSF Sunset line outside of Taft CA. Photo 1 was taken 4/2006 at the end of "active track"; although a train had not ventured this far in 20 years. Photo 2 from 9/2006 show rail lifted from a point past where the private crossing was. Last 3 are from today. 3/4 mile new rail, a few sidings, and a big oil train unloading facility to handle the North Dakota oil going into a pipeline to L.A.
