I wonder how a mistake like that can even occur!
According to satellite imagery from the early 2000s, there once were two tracks that did run through there. The only catch: there was no crossing there at the time. So it beats the heck outta me.

Originally this didn't look awkward, but they removed the cantilevers... now it looks does look weird. Not to mention there should probably have been at least another set of lights added to aim at the third approach.
And, look where they installed the mechanical bell.
Well, :Censored:

That bell placement is actually commonplace on all newer Florida Central Railroad installations, and the same for Florida Midland and Florida Northern railroads as well. I'm sure it's the same for all Pinsly owned railroads as well.

This guy seems to be enjoying relaxing in the shade at that crossing pretty well.
They/Them for me, please.

He must have been some type of surveying... he's standing with his clipboard in hand in this shot. https://www.google.com/maps/@28.730973, ... 6656?hl=en

Maybe he's there to fill out the inventory report for the FRA? I'm pretty sure those a hand-written on a form (or at least were).

Not much of the installs, but the location. What I did find odd, why no gates? BTW To see the whole crossing spin 360 degress in street view.

I wonder if all the signals will activate regardless of witch track a train is on?

Working on a PTC design in Milan, MI where (2) grade crossings intersect at a diamond...pain in the :Censored:

Thankfully the old 62660 detection units were upgraded with GCP4000's on the double track. The single line still has the older 62500 motion sensors.
