Alcohol + Firearm + Crossing Equipment Shelter =
I came across this picture I took a couple of years ago when I was on a PTC survey in the Blueridge Mountains. This is a 6X6 grade crossing equipment shelter somewhere along the 80 mile hi-rail we conducted. I don't know where the pictures are of the inside but, practically everything was damaged. The bullets appeared to ricochet and thankfully didn't go through the back. The terminal board caught on fire and the relays were in pieces. The detection device (PMD-3R) had a bullet go through the terminal backplane but...just like most of the older equipment, was still working! Got to hand it to Harmon!!
