Can you say rust?
Check out the rusty cantilever in the background:

With that pinnacle I thought it was an old tornado siren at first!

It used to, but not anymore. The signals were taken out shortly after Alex left Maine.

Re: Can you say rust?
I have no idea. It was working when I got the pictures. That crossing is on the Maine Eastern Railroad, which only runs during the summer, and the Christmas Holiday. 3 other crossings next to this one had the same setup, but got upgraded to new signals with 12X24 Safetran dotted LED's and GS E bells and gates. The crossing is blocked off and I dont know if it's still there. This is the last piece of history this signal probably has. I will return to the crossing if I return to Maine sometime in the future.

The site isn't working for me. It only loads the ads.
Can somebody post the photo here? Thanks.

You think your car gets bad mileage? SP 4449 consumes 10 gallons of bunker oil and 100 gallons of water every mile.

That's why I love looking along California's spur lines. So many cool classics out there.
