A virus has struck my father's computer, and it is no ordinary virus, it's an infamous chain of viruses. These
didn't even let him log in to his computer. Now I lost much of my railroad crossing pics 
It is the infamous Trojan virus followed by the vicious Google Redirect Virus and then some. They even couldn't let him use Malwarebytes.
I am going to go around to every CSX crossing in the area that the photos might have vanished of and RETAKE EVERY SINGLE PHOTO!
Just wished I backed the photos up...

May be a lesson learned to late for you, but this is a good reminder for everyone to back up your photos and other important files! I use both CD-ROMs and external hard drives for backups. Saved my bacon when I've accidentally deleted or changed stuff, although no major hardware failures yet.
