This crossing is just down from the display crossing I posted earlier in Pinellas Park, Florida. I stopped and snapped a few pictures of it as I was out running errands Saturday morning. The third gate is actually for a driveway for the back entrance to a police station. It is the only crossing that I know of along this line that still has all 8 inch lights.

I would love to see this in action, but there are at most only a few trains a week through here, and I believe mostly at night, so it may take awhile.
Glad to see it's still there!

Here's an active crossing in Rockmart, GA:

They/Them for me, please.

Pretty neat little mining railroad there. That appears to be their only crossing.
Based on the rust and plants though, I'd say the crossing doesn't get much use.
I wonder who made those lights though...

Did you guys see this factory down the road a bit? The tracks appear to be severed here.

Well that's a shame. That looks liek it would've been a neat operation to see in use.

Also, here's a classic crossing in Troy, NY:

Had to hold these while rxrsignal's domain was being changed:

Exempt only means that school buses and hazardous materials carriers are not required to stop at those tracks. Often, it's placed on crossings where there is a high number of rear-end collisions involving a vehicle that was stopped for the crossing (bus, haz-mat vehicle). Exempt status is placed a lot of times on dead & out-of-service crossings, but that's not the only place they are used (was it ever the intent?)

Did you notice between your two posts (active shot in 2011 to the newer shot in 2014) it gained a pedestrian gate? :TUP2: They put the e-bell for this side on that gate and not on the main signal.
