Sick E-Bell

Post by cabman701 »

I went out today to get my picture for the photo of the month. The signals had a sick sounding E-bell which I caught with the movie feature on my camera.

Wait until the train passes and listen as the gates rise. You may have to turn your volume up just a bit.

One thing I didn't mention on my first post is that it was raining when I caught that video. Could it be water getting into the bell somehow causing that sound?

Could be. GS bells do weird things too when exposed to rain.

Sounds like a slow yodalarm...
You think your car gets bad mileage? SP 4449 consumes 10 gallons of bunker oil and 100 gallons of water every mile.

Its Probably a gs type 1 e-bell

I speak my mind, if you don't like that oh well. I'll have you fill out a hurt feelings report and submit that to my office.

BNSF has all their GS bells set to whisper-quiet around here. It's annoying you can't hear them for crap. :aaargh:
