Springdale, Australia.

This is the crossing at Springdale, which is in southern New South Wales, Australia. It is located between the towns of Stockinbingal and Temora and this section of track is normally used only for grain. Trains operate when required and most are at night so I was lucky to catch this one.

These signals were installed in December 1986 and the original equipment still remains. The 8 inch lights are Westinghouse, being converted to LED some time ago. For some reason there is a McKenzie & Holland teardrop bell, I guess back then they still liked to re-use old equipment. Another interesting thing is the masts and bases are fabricated in one piece and the junction box is actually inside the post (you can see the cover with a lock on it). I'm not sure who made these masts but they were mostly used during the 1980's and there are not many left today.

The train is 3333N empty grain hoppers from Cootamundra to West Wyalong, with locomotives 8139 and 8181.

The crossing on GSV, the only thing that has changed is the crossbucks and SORS signs have been replaced. https://www.google.com/maps/@-34.473446 ... 328!8i1664
