Illabo, Australia.
This crossing is at the small town of Illabo NSW, Australia. It is located between Cootamundra and Junee, on the main line from Sydney to Melbourne.
These signals were installed in 1960 and must be some of the oldest still in use. Both signals have WRRS/GRS type B gate mechs which until a few years ago were very common but now there are only 2 other crossings left in NSW to have them. The lights are McKenzie & Holland and are quite rusty. The newest equipment apart from the gates is the WCH mechanical bells. The bell on the northern side rings from start up until the gates begin to rise, while the southern bell rings from start up until the gates have lowered.
