well part of it English, the other side is French. As Many French people live in Canada. The train... I've never seen anythign like that.

Looks like one of those 1950's disasters.

I think it was GE that tried to resurrect the unit-train idea for hauling passengers like the Rio Grande (?) and a few others did in the 30's & 40's with their stainless steel Zephyrs.

Unfortunately GE's idea was a big mess. Woefully underpowered, it required a helper engine to get just 4 passenger cars up Cajon pass and most others. Had a lot of other problems too, and it disappeared pretty quickly.

If you can find a picture of the original Disneyland monorail, you will see it resembles the train in the picture above. That should give you an idea of the date.

That is a cool crossbuck, it would look cool used today.

As for the train, it is a UAC Turbotrain used from 1968 - 1982.
