Re: Train's on google street view.
I'll reshare some of the one's I've found in Streetview...
A Comeng set at Carnegie station.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.886 ... 312!8i6656
DAH! I found the Devil's Comeng! Carriage 666M in the Dandenong stabling yard.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.987 ... 312!8i6656
Found the Comeng carriage (392M) that derailed at Ringwood in 1992 by running into the now-gone siding and stopping on the baulks half way in the air at the edge of the Wantirna Rd bridge coupled up to the same set that hit a truck at the former Springvale Road, Nunawading crossing.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.987 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.988 ... 312!8i6656
Found this Hitachi Train stabled in a yard. All the remaining Hitachi trains were retired in 2014.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.985 ... 312!8i6656
Another one near Gardiner: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.853 ... 1664?hl=en
Found a freight train in street view. This one is running the Long Island steel train and is passing through Moorabbin station: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.933 ... 6656?hl=en

Another at Cheltenham station (further down the line): https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.966 ... 6656?hl=en
Also found 320M (involved in the Syndal collision in 1989 with Hitachi 90M).
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.009 ... 312!8i6656
Jeez, how many X'trapolis trains do you need!? (Comeng trains aren't really common on the Northern and Burnley groups now days due to the amount of X'trapolis train we have now compared to a few years ago.)
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.826 ... 312!8i6656
Found two at Blackburn station

https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.820 ... 704!8i4352
Another one stabled at Bayswater.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.842 ... 312!8i6656
One at the trenched Boronia rail station. This section was trenched in the late 90's in order to eliminate the crossing at the intersection of Boronia and Dorset Roads.

This one is stationary at Patterson railway station.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.925 ... 6656?hl=en
One crossing the former McKinnon Road level crossing.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.910 ... 6656?hl=en
Google Streetview got this parallel run of this one between McKinnon and Ormond stations.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.907 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.907 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.906 ... 6656?hl=en
Eventually, Streetview caught up with it at the old ground level station at Ormond and the nearby North Road crossing.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.904 ... 6656?hl=en
A bit further up. (Possibly the same train?)
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.901 ... 6656?hl=en
This one from 2010 (shortly after Metro Trains took over from Connex) shows this Comeng with temporary Metro stickers covering the Connex logos. (This set also happens to contain 392M! That's the second time I've found it in GSV.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.894 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.893 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.892 ... 312!8i6656
Streetview managed to catch up with the train at Glenhuntly station.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.890 ... 6656?hl=en
Another Comeng with temporary Metro stickers.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.891 ... 6656?hl=en
GSV caught this train going through the Glenhuntly tramsquare crossing. These sorts of crossings are unquie as they require the train to crawl thorugh the crossing at speeds of 15km/h.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.889 ... 6656?hl=en
They also managed to catch the Long Island Steel train going through this crossing too!
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.889 ... 6656?hl=en
Behind the trees, you can make out this Connex Comeng train.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.888 ... 1664?hl=en

Here it is at the Nerrim Road level crossing.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.887 ... 1664?hl=en
This one must of just went through the Nerrim Road crossing.

The trailing carriage.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.886 ... 6656?hl=en
GSV caught this one near Clayton.

Re: Train's on google street view.
Found one at Willamstown station. (Comeng set 499M-1100T-534M-M-T-M).
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.868 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.868 ... 312!8i6656
Bit of an interesting history behind 499M-1100T-534M as the reason behind it being coupled up like that (rather than 499M-1100T-500M & 533M-1117T-534M). The reason behind this is that both 500M & 533M were burnt out by vandals while running in revenue service back in 2002, (at Hampton & Merlyston stations respectively). 1117T was moved to another set to replace written off car 1109T (damaged in an accident at Epping). While 499M, 1100T, & 534M were configured into a three car set and have remained like that ever since. Chris Gordon of Vicsig has photos of the damaged cars...

533M has since been cut up (in 2010), and I'm unsure of 500M...
