From the front they just look like standard WCH M-Bells.

Those are motor bells! Instead of being powered by magnets (like a standard mechanical bell), they're run by a motor.

That is what I was thinking too, because it would be weird for there to be two parts of the intersections two have GYR signals and the other side to just have a beacon. In the "Traffic Signals and Highway Signs" about a year or two a go, there was this one intersection that I think was in the New York City Area, this intersection was a three-way intersection, the main street had two pairs of two YYR signals for both directions which the other street had a pair of red signal beacons, most of the time the YYR had their bottom yellow lights flashing and the red signal beacons were flashing, just like a normal Yellow-Red 3-way intersection would operate, but when a pedestrian would come by and push the walk button, the YYR signals would go to red (in a normal sequence from flashing yellow to steady yellow to steady red) and the signal beacon would go to a steady red. So if that light really was a signal beacon and not a GYR signal, I think that I would operate just like that one intersection that I just described but with GYR signals for the main street.

There is also this intersection/crossing that used both regular traffic signals and signal beacons that I found a while back, I thought that was worth mentioning here too.

Although while searching through the "Traffic Signals and Highway Signs" I could not find the intersection that I think was in or near New York City, I did however find the same crossing that in Corinth, New York by chance! I thought that was a strange coincidence.

Hmm, I have to wonder how that signal operates when a train is around, and I'm curious to know what the bottom beacons on the "regular" lights are for.
