This teardrop bell (I believe might be in Missouri?) appears to be the only active protection device at this crossing. Or at least, it gets the whole post to itself. The link gets broken as it uses brackets which breaks the bbcode's normal formatting.
I also remember when The Bellarine Railway had a bell only crossing at Queenscliff Rd many years ago. I asked a worker why that was the case and he told me it was because they couldn't afford a full setup at the time!
