Harden, Australia.
This private crossing is at Harden NSW, Australia. It is located on the main line between Sydney and Melbourne. This is a rather strange setup, the crossing has no bells and there are two pairs of steady red lights on either side. They indicate the track on which the train is approaching, either the near track or the far track. The near track is signalled for trains to run in both directions, and I don't know if this has anything to do with the odd protection arrangements.
The signals were installed in 2007. Both signals have WCH bases and tall masts with crossbucks and stop signs mounted near the top, it looks strange seeing stop signs used in conjunction with the red lights. There is another private crossings about 1400 metres to the east of this one and it has a similar setup. I'm not sure if this is a prototype crossing, as apart from these two there have been no other similar installations since.
