It's interesting to note that this crossing still has Westinghouse Hybrid Bells and Westinghouse Pedestrian Gate Mechs. This means that (apart from the LED light upgrade of the early 2000's and the replacement of the black and white gates around 2007) the equipment at this crossing is all original from when the line first opened in 1985!:

McGregor Road has hardly changed at all since the current signals were installed in 1986. Apart from the original hybrid bells being replaced in 2014, the extra pedestrian crossing being installed in 2012, and a partial LED upgrade in an unknown year. The crossing has remained the same! The signals turned 30-years old on September 9 of this year too! Happy birthday McGregor Road level crossing  (even though it's been two months...) :LOL2:

Yeah, but I think it was a tourist railway for some time.

Yeah, but I think it was a tourist railway for some time.
It's a shame that tourist railways collapse due to a lack of volunteers. Anyways, here's some more stuff I've found.

Signallers installing new signals!

Tall mast signal with two flashers.

What an oddball place to put a cantilever.

This Puffing Billy Crossing on Edenmont Rd in Emerald has the only Harmon lights I've seen in Victoria:

Cool how you can get street view from on board the train isn't it? :TUP2:

I'm already aware of the fact that you can ride Puffing Billy in street view. I wonder why they did that?

Speaking of rare equipment. Here's some GRS XB/XD lights at this disused (and sadly, since removed) crossing in Koo Wee Rup. I passed over this crossing many times before the took out the signals.

Someone really stuffed up here. This signal can't seem to figure out how many tracks there are. It says five here...
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.803 ... 312!8i6656
...But up here, it says seven!!! What?!

Here's something you rarely see. Private crossings with gates! There's a few of them on the Ballarat line between Melton and Ballarat. (I'm guessing they have gates because the trains run really fast along this track.)

Here's one in Parwan.

Another one in Parwan.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.713 ... 312!8i6656

Again, this one is in Parwan.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.716 ... 312!8i6656

Here's one in Ingliston.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.642 ... 312!8i6656

A few 'flashing lights' setups.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.637 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.633 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.620 ... 312!8i6656

Active crossing in Gordon.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.594 ... 312!8i6656

New signals about to go in.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.555 ... 312!8i6656

While this is not a private crossing, I find the road name to be unique and funny (Telephone Road). :LOL2:

Here's something you don't see everyday! This traffic signal has a 'Stop on Red Signal' sign from a grade crossing!
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-37.886 ... 312!8i6656

Some strange looking lights. Anyone know who made them?
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.073 ... 312!8i6656
The visors on this signal look incredibly odd too.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.073 ... 312!8i6656

Found a crossing with an American styled cantilever in the Northern Territory.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-23.701 ... 312!8i6656
S'more odd crossing lights.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-23.701 ... 312!8i6656

Odd E-Bell (anyone know who made it?)
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-22.971 ... 328!8i1664

Seems weird that they would put a crossing in a cutting.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-13.810 ... 312!8i6656

Found a crossing with these odd gates.

Looks like a General Signals with a strobe next to it from this angle:

They/Them for me, please.
