This is the Berthong Rd crossing at Cootamundra, located in southern New South Wales, Australia. The crossing is on the branch line which runs from Cootamundra to Stockinbingal (then to either Parkes or Temora), and normally sees freight trains only.

The signals here were installed in October 1970 and the original equipment remains today. Both of the signals have unmarked bases and McKenzie & Holland lights, which have been converted to LED. There is a McK&H teardrop bell on the southern signal.

The train in the video is 7YN2 which conveys mostly steel from Whyalla (in South Australia) to Newcastle (NSW).

Great video! Seems there are quite a few teardrops left on commercial lines in NSW. Here in Victoria, the only places you can still catch them in action is on tourist railways (apart from a small few on rarely used lines).

BTW, do you know if the teardrops at this crossing in Junee, NSW are still there?:

The teardrop bells are still there. They replaced the old gate mechs with Siemens but apart from that the crossing is still the same. The teardrop bells are switched off at night and the pedestrian gates have some kind of alarms which operate instead.

Sadly the Broadway Rd crossing was upgraded earlier this year. The Harmon mechs are gone and the crossing now has e-bells
