I have some sad news to share. I just got back from Wangaratta and am sorry to say that the WABCO bell at Shanley St is gone!

The crossing now has boom gates with the standard V/Line setup of Safetran Type 3 E-Bells, Westinghouse LED lights and WCH gate mechs. Here's what the crossing looked like in 2010 when the WABCO bell was still intact:

I'll try and post some pictures I took of the crossing and its new setup within the next few days.
I also visited the Old Hume Hwy crossing in Glenrowan, as it had a Teardrop Bell in 2010:

Sadly, it was also replaced. But oddly, not with an E-Bell, but with a Westinghouse Hybrid!
The same thing happened at Violet Town. This teardrop is now a Westinghouse Hybrid:

Another oddity, these old WRRS gate mechs have been replaced with Safetran mechs instead of the WCH ones that V/Line typically use (I haven't seen a new installation of Safetran gate mechs on a V/Line track since around 2008/2009, they appear to only use WCH now). Here are the original gates from 2010:

One final update (and this is really good news), the Safetran M-Bell at Old Barnawatha Rd in Wodonga has miraculously survived and is still there today!
