Re: traffic lights and crosswalk signals
Thought I would share this.
Yesterday morning (Monday) in my hometown the air temperature got down to minus 1 causing a pretty large water main break in the middle of an intersection. The water was shooting 15 feet in the air and ended up coating one of the traffic lights in the intersections with a bunch of ice.
I grabbed a couple of screen shots from the local news.
I've always liked the intersections in this area as they have some unique traffic lights. Check out the red lights on the signal on the right in this link below. They are some kind of 12 inch adapters that were fitted where the 8 inch light used to be.

Nice! 12 inch adapters are rather rare. Those ones were made by Eagle and are actually mounted on some rodded Eagle Flat-back signals:

https://www.google.com/maps/@39.8073919 ... 6656?hl=en
There are also some nice Eagle Flat-back 12-8-8 signals there and this nice square-door Econolite bullseye signal:

https://www.google.com/maps/@39.8075068 ... 6656?hl=en
The other signals are some Alusigs and a couple of polycarbonate Econolite signals.
That's definitely a nice intersection!

Re: traffic lights and crosswalk signals
I honestly don't know. I ain't familiar with all of the brands Australia has used. I know Eagle, Durasig (using Alusig's mold), and Aldridge sell/have sold traffic lights over there.TrickyMario7654 wrote:Who made these traffic signals?

I'm not entirely sure what manufacturer makes these, and they're pretty much used throughout the state, so I'm kinda curious about what these are. I think they're from Peek or possibly Crouse-Hinds, but I'm not sure.

Those are either Peek signals, or if they're old enough, TCT.Joosh wrote:http://www.google.com/maps/@41.2024258, ... 312!8i6656

Crossing pictures from Plant City, FL are finally here! viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2538
Re: traffic lights and crosswalk signals
Quite a few intersections along that street (Carpenter Street) have (or had) those 12 inch adapters. They used to be on almost all the signals but have been slowly replaced over the years.freebrickproductions wrote:Nice! 12 inch adapters are rather rare. That's one thing I miss about that city... some of the older parts of town had some neat signals... both traffic and railroad signals.

Re: traffic lights and crosswalk signals

Some new Econolite button-backs have been popping up all over the state recently. These were just installed this past summer.
