Looks like a later L&N install there, and the mast lights were replaced by CSX in the 1980s.Joosh wrote:Older-style cantilevers

Pretty classic crossing there as well.

Yeah, 93rd Avenue, the road this is on, is a pretty busy one. Not sure how I feel about them not taking the time to fix that.ToledoRailfan wrote:That crossing looks like it gets a lot of traffic too!
The line itself looks pretty busy.Joosh wrote:Yeah, 93rd Avenue, the road this is on, is a pretty busy one. Not sure how I feel about them not taking the time to fix that.ToledoRailfan wrote:That crossing looks like it gets a lot of traffic too!
I don't think this was an L&N install, as I don't think this was a former L&N line. I do know it's ex-Monon, but ex-L&N, I don't believe so.freebrickproductions wrote:Looks like a later L&N install there, and the mast lights were replaced by CSX in the 1980s.Joosh wrote:Older-style cantilevers

It's actually not really that busy, maybe up to 10 trains a day, max.ToledoRailfan wrote:The line itself looks pretty busy.Joosh wrote:Yeah, 93rd Avenue, the road this is on, is a pretty busy one. The Monon got merged into the L&N in 1971. The install is probably from the late 70s to early 80s before the SCL merger in 1984.Joosh wrote:I don't think this was an L&N install, as I don't think this was a former L&N line. Well I wasn't either until I looked it up. But I guess it makes sense, as I believe there's a former Monon line in Louisville, KY.Joosh wrote:Oh, okay. I wasn't aware that the Monon merged with the L&N.![]()
Guess I got some learning to do.
