The WSOR system used to have more, but they have mostly been replaced/upgraded in the last few years.

Unfortunately, the bad areas have the good, classic stuff. If you look around Compton, you'll see lots of 8" WRRS lights and WRRS bells.

A fair ammount of the crossings on the BRC railway still have the Griswold cantilevers.

Nope. Those are RACO cantilevers.
Re: Locations Of Currently Existing Griswold Cantilevers
ah I see thanks for the heads up! I'm not really good at identifing cantilevers I just thought that since all the eqipment was Griswold (with the exeption of one of the bells) that the Cantilever was too, thanks for setting me straight on that!

Those are Griswolds. Mike is about to post some pics I took back in March of this crossing.
That's Fourth, not McCray, in Hollister. At least that's what's on the relay case. I parked my car behind that tire store fence with the banner on it in the lower left of the picture. Picture 10 in my submision was taken over that fence.

If I become a maintainer, all I'll use is a boom truck when working on cantilevers and cantilever lights. I'm too much of a coward to walk along the top of the cantilever on newer models.

I'd almost want a boom truck for the mast lights too, also, in case there's any work done on the bell.
The mechanical bells will be a bit easier to work with when you have a boom truck, rather than a ladder.
