Backhoe sets off signals!

back in Illinois a weed spraying truck went by and the signals did the same thing. they did it for about a minute after it passed.

Also, was the backhoe on railroad wheels?

Obviously the crossing has DC approaches...and no motion detector. The signals would stay on from a temporary shunt if it had some sort of electronic circuitry... :Grin:

I saw a weedspraying truck setting off signals too!

Yep, Conrail frequently runs weed spraying trucks through here...and the signals go off...
