Re: Google Street View
Not sure why you think that's unusual. It's like a private business being in the same building as the post office, and the building would still be open for the business on a day the post office isn't.

Re: Google Street View
Because I've lived here all my life and it is just unusual to see the station opened like that as before the Greyhound station was put in there the Amtrak station would only be opened at night or early in the morning.ZachL wrote:Not sure why you think that's unusual. Well, none of us would have known that.ToledoRailfan wrote:Because I've lived here all my life and it is just unusual to see the station opened like that as before the Greyhound station was put in there the Amtrak station would only be opened at night or early in the morning.ZachL wrote:Not sure why you think that's unusual. Re: Google Street View
I would think "Kind of unusual seeing the Amtrak Station opened during the day except on National Train Day." Would kind of give you the idea that it is (or was) rare to seeing opened in the day time.ZachL wrote:Well, none of us would have known that.ToledoRailfan wrote:Because I've lived here all my life and it is just unusual to see the station opened like that as before the Greyhound station was put in there the Amtrak station would only be opened at night or early in the morning.ZachL wrote:Not sure why you think that's unusual. But you didn't mention that the Greyhound station was a later addition....ToledoRailfan wrote:I would think "Kind of unusual seeing the Amtrak Station opened during the day except on National Train Day." This has to do with the new Greyhound station.ZachL wrote:But you didn't mention that the Greyhound station was a later addition....ToledoRailfan wrote:I would think "Kind of unusual seeing the Amtrak Station opened during the day except on National Train Day." Re: Google Street View
It still doesn't make sense then. Why would you expect it to be weird? Sure, it may have been closed during the day back then, but wouldn't you think that "oh, a new tennant! maybe they will have different operating hours now!" would be expected?

Re: Google Street View
I never said that I wouldn't expect it, but after years and years of never seeing it open in the day like this it does become an unusual sight even if it is now open all day.ZachL wrote:It still doesn't make sense then. How long has it been like that then? I mean, it's like seeing an old building go unused for many, many years then all of a sudden it's booming again. I've seen it happen a few times.ToledoRailfan wrote:I never said that I wouldn't expect it, but after years and years of never seeing it open in the day like this it does become an unusual sight even if it is now open all day.ZachL wrote:It still doesn't make sense then.
