Nope, there are no Barker Technic E-Bells in the United Kingdom, Present day setups are usually E2S Alarms or Clifford and Snell Model Y03 Yodalarms.ToledoRailfan wrote:I came across this interesting setup! Kind of cool but also annoying at the same time. It would be interesting to see an Australian crossing with the same yoda alarms used in the United Kingdom, I wonder if there are any?

I was said that it would be interesting to see an Australian crossing with the same yoda alarms used in the United Kingdom. Hence why I said "I wonder if there are any".NathanFromEngland wrote:Nope, there are no Barker Technic E-Bells in the United Kingdom, Present day setups are usually E2S Alarms or Clifford and Snell Model Y03 Yodalarms.ToledoRailfan wrote:I came across this interesting setup! Metro is really being stupid, putting brand new e-bells on a crossing being removed.Username1 wrote:Anyway I mentioned on here about a month ago that the bells at Corrgian road were replaced. Well it turns out that they were replaced with type 3's which is rare!

Also one of the e-bells at Parkdale has had a black cloth duct taped around it. Strange. I wonder why they did that?
Parkers Road, Parkdale is another crossing with Connex-era e-bells.

Metro, why do you keep removing Mechanical bells?!

This was before Daniel Andrews was premier and probably long before there were plans to remove the crossing.TrickyMario7654 wrote:Metro is really being stupid, putting brand new e-bells on a crossing being removed.Username1 wrote:Anyway I mentioned on here about a month ago that the bells at Corrgian road were replaced. No it was done last month, the crossing still had hybrid bells earlier this year.ToledoRailfan wrote:This was before Daniel Andrews was premier and probably long before there were plans to remove the crossing.TrickyMario7654 wrote:Metro is really being stupid, putting brand new e-bells on a crossing being removed.Username1 wrote:Anyway I mentioned on here about a month ago that the bells at Corrgian road were replaced. Re: Australian Railroad Crossing Signals
Just returned from a visit to northern NSW with the following sightings. As is becoming more common these days, most of them involve the removal of older equipment.
At Quirindi, this crossing at Nowland St has received new signals https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-31.500 ... 312!8i6656
This was one of the few remaining crossings to still have Harmon gate mechs. The new signals have WCH gate mechs, United Group lights and WCH e-bells. The previous Westinghouse hybrid bells were programed to ring while the gates were rising, but the e-bells now adopt the normal NSW practice of shutting off when the gates begin to rise.
The other crossing at Quirindi (Henry St) had it's Westinghouse hybrid bells replaced by Safetran type 3 e-bells.

In better news, the McK&H teardrop bell still remains at Currabubula.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-31.265 ... 312!8i6656
This crossing at West Tamworth has a WRRS bell
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-31.090 ... 312!8i6656
Sadly these classic signals at Uralla have been replaced.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-30.621 ... 312!8i6656
The four old signals have been replaced by just two signals with the usual front and rear facing lights. The lights are United Group, while the new crossing now has two WCH e-bells instead of the single teardrop bell.
The teardrop bell at Rappville (seen in this video) has been replaced by a Safetran type 3 e-bell
