Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, an NEG electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

This crossing is the first one south of Mill Street's crossing, right near the Hartselle city limits. As you can see, this one is almost in the middle of pretty much nowhere, being rather secluded (with a windy county road between the crossing and US 31). The crossing is also in the perfect position to record the defect detector at MP 313.5 on the CSX S&NA North Sub (right next to Mill Street), so I included that in the video. You can also hear some chatter from the NS radio as well.

*originally recorded on 8-29-21*

After catching M788, I went down to this crossing to wait for whatever train would come next. After a little bit of waiting, I started hearing a train blowing its horn through Hartselle, and eventually, this northbound Q524 come through with a pair of ES44AHs for power.

As you can see, not much has changed to this crossing since I last recorded it. However, it appears that the tip NEG LED gate lights on the far side had since died and was replaced with a RECO LED gate light. Other than that though, no major changes appear to have occured here since I last recorded this crossing.
