Early 2000s, probably.

Love the WCH Clear LEDs at both crossings!

Some old gate mechs there as well at the time.

Sadly, they're gone now, but at least the WCH mechanical bell remains!

About that, why it is so rare to find?

This looks kind of awkward.

There wasn't even a 2 tracks sign on that side of the crossing back in 2011!

Most railroads didn't use them (Pan Am and Union Pacific seem to have been the primary users of them), and they were all installed back in the early 2000s. As a result, upgrades have replaced quite a few of them while others were replaced by the LEDs failing.
They/Them for me, please.

Looks like a WRRS bell that's very rusty.

Kind of looks like it has a different logo. Although that is probably just the rust.

It looks as if this crossing is owned by Norfolk Southern.
