I thought WCH E-Bells are common on BNSF and UP installations?LARDLOGO wrote:Strange seeing a WCH E-Bell in BNSF county. (I've filmed here before).

Ain't the first WCH e-bell that's been found on a BNSF line:LARDLOGO wrote:Strange seeing a WCH E-Bell in BNSF county. (I've filmed here before).

There's also one in Berwin, IL on the BNSF Racetrack:

Only UP, really. BNSF has always been a bigger fan of General Signals, with a brief stint with Safetran (and WCH, apparently).ToledoRailfan wrote:I thought WCH E-Bells are common on BNSF and UP installations?LARDLOGO wrote:Strange seeing a WCH E-Bell in BNSF county. (I've filmed here before).

You could also be thinking of CP, which uses a lot of WCH e-bells.
They/Them for me, please.

Doesn't BNSF have a lot of Safetran Type-1s? Maybe I got them mixed up with WCH E-Bells.freebrickproductions wrote:Ain't the first WCH e-bell that's been found on a BNSF line:LARDLOGO wrote:Strange seeing a WCH E-Bell in BNSF county. (I've filmed here before).

They have a few. Not sure how they compare to other railroads though.ToledoRailfan wrote:Doesn't BNSF have a lot of Safetran Type-1s? Re: Google Maps Scavenger Hunt
I guess I've always associated them with the sound of WCH E-bells which I've always associated with being from out west.freebrickproductions wrote:They have a few. Your link just links to the map.freebrickproductions wrote:WABCO Triangle counterweight arm on a WCH gate mech!

Kind of unusual! Sense the platform is so close to the crossing a normal pedestrian gate wouldn't work.freebrickproductions wrote: Long ped gate here as well!

Re: Google Maps Scavenger Hunt
Should work now in my (original) post. Apparently I had hit the apostrophe key when hitting the enter key, and it caused the forum's software to think that the apostrophe was part of the link, which caused Google Maps to send you to the map rather than street view as it didn't expect the apostrophe.ToledoRailfan wrote:Your link just links to the map.freebrickproductions wrote:WABCO Triangle counterweight arm on a WCH gate mech!

I don't think I've seen a triangle arm on a pedestrian gate before.freebrickproductions wrote:WABCO Triangle counterweight arm on a WCH gate mech!

Ah. I would think that would just cause the link not to work but I don't much about that stuff.freebrickproductions wrote:Should work now in my (original) post.
