Re: Tracks out of service
This old crossbuck at this former crossing Morrow, Ohio has been preserved! I saw this on a Facebook group earlier today that I'm a part of.
https://www.google.com/maps/@39.3544806 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@39.3545736 ... 6656?hl=en
Here is the crossing before the line that it is on was turned into a rails to trails.

I wonder what this is?
https://www.google.com/maps/@39.3544657 ... 6656?hl=en
I found another preserved crossbuck! The red letters kind of made me of buckeye crossbucks, I highly doubt that they were trying to make this look like one.

There is this cool Pennsylvania Railroad Caboose on display!

Re: Tracks out of service
Found this abandoned Ohio Central line in Coshocton, OH while looking for some old traffic lights.
This crossing is the beginning of the abandonment, with the tracks having been removed from the road, along with the signals:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2495764 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2500672 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2498216 ... a=!3m1!1e3
Next crossing up has just a pair of crossbucks:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2507852 ... 312!8i6656
More crossbucks here:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2559348 ... 312!8i6656
And here:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2577702 ... 312!8i6656
And here:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2614362 ... 312!8i6656
These all still remain, for some reason...
More crossbucks (that still remain) here as well, but there's also a passing siding and a long-dead third track here as well:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2661129 ... 312!8i6656
To the north is a small turning wye:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2692119 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2696569 ... a=!3m1!1e3
The leg heading west has a pair of crossbucks at the one crossing along it, not sure if they're still there. Tracks are rather overgrown at the crossing, likely due to them having not been used for a while:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2704597 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2705714 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2705714 ... 312!8i6656
End of the turn-around track:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2705675 ... 312!8i6656
The wye also has a crossing with some Safetran 8 inch gated signals and another crossing with crossbucks. Both have had the tracks removed from them, but I think the signals may still remain:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2704498 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2706055 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2705714 ... a=!3m1!1e3
To the north is another crossbuck crossing that still remains:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2717065 ... 312!8i6656
The classic WRRS signals with WRRS and Safetran 8 inch lights to the north also still remain. One of the lenses appears to have been missing when street view went through, and that was before the line was abandoned!
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2741773 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2741976 ... 312!8i6656
Relay case hooked-up to an old code-line that still remains along the abandoned line. Wonder if there was a signal at this switch at one point? This also seems to imply that this was once a mainline track.
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2754381 ... 312!8i6656
Check out these US&S classics! Strangely enough, both signals use 5 inch masts even though there's no sign of gates having ever been here. They were also sadly removed when the crossing had the tracks torn out from it:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2760771 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2761083 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2761083 ... a=!3m1!1e3
And the last crossing along this abandoned section is another pair of crossbucks that still remain:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2773953 ... 312!8i6656
The line connects back into the active Ohio Central lines further to the north here. If you notice, they have three engines on the line leading to the abandoned crossings posted above:

As far as I can tell, this is all that's left of this abandoned line in Greenville, SC. No idea where it went between or what railroad operated it:
