Actually, those were made by a Japanese company that based their bells off of the Teardrop bells, IIRC. Notice how they sound a lot more differently from other Teardrops?
Oh, wonder what the name of that Japanese company is.
Found two up close images of those bells.

Kiosan. I was wondering who made those bells.

Oddly enough, the second picture looks to have a newer-looking gong.
I've never heard of Kiosan before. I wonder if they have been used by any crossings outside of Japan. Probably South Korea and Taiwan sense they use very similar equipment to Japan.

Old Pennsylvania Railroad install there! The Safetran 8 inch lights and Hybrid were likely installed by Conrail in the 1990s. Not sure who owns it, though likely a shortline based on the lack of NS or CSX DOT tags...

Abandoned equipment in Italy. The crossing was replaced by a quad gate modern setup, although the gate mechanism, base, and bells remain

The signal on the right has a WABCO teardrop, while the other signal has a WABCO mechanical bell.

Hudson, Quebec.

The condition of the bell makes me suspicious though, either it was replaced. Or repainted.

I don't see why they wouldn't maintain it.

I mean, would you think a bell so old would have never lost its original paint over the decades? :Tongue2:
