I'm just saying, i'm pretty confused on how we clearly have not brought his name up in the thread.

Don't really see why as it was clearly him who made and uploaded that video. And plus Cabman and I have both mentioned him without saying his name or his nickname (Millinumforce).

We all pretty much know who "he" is. I do watch his video's at times because he doesn't live far from here and I know some of the crossings he has filmed at.

However, I don't approve of some of the antics he pulls. And in fact filming yourself nearly getting hit by a train, posting it, and then trying to blame the railroad for your stupidity is just plain dumb.

Part of me kind of understands how something like that can happen to him or some one else, but part of me also thinks that he was just making up excuses, for all we know that train might not have been doing that is unusual for that railroad in particular to do.

This crossing is very unusual. Its design, in my opinion, makes it more dangerous than a typical crossing. On one hand, if a railfan can nearly get hit at it, how well can you expect the general public to handle it?

On the other hand, if he had not been filming, and paying better attention, it might have registerd with him that the train could split off to the right. It sounds like he expected the train to go straight based on what he has seen it do in the past. This is a new tourist railroad operation that just started up, taking the place of the Orange blossom Cannonball, which shut down last year.

My opinion: This crossing poses way more of a danger to the public than a typical crossing because of its unusual nature. If the are not going to signalize it, they should change their procedure at it, and either yield to road traffic of flag it.

Did you see the engineer put his hand out the window and give a stop indication? I'm betting the driver didn't because he was too busy trying to film and drive.

The crossing has a crossbuck, which means it is properly marked and does NOT need to be flagged if memory serves. They would have to if there was no crossbuck, or if there were signals that were not functioning properly. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong).

All I'm going to say is that this person has a history of doing some questionable things around crossings and railroad tracks in general. I know it's meant to be humorous, and draw people into viewing his videos. But one of these days, karma most likely is going to strike back. I think it's interesting too that he disabled the comments on the video because he knew he was going to get called out on it.

He actually was getting called out for it in the comments before he disabled them, and trying to defend what he did.

Also, there was a huge Sh- -show on Facebook recently due to part of his intro of him walking in front of some graffiti on a train car that read "Millinumforce", that he claimed to have painted himself (and he also claimed that he had recorded a video of doing that he was going to upload, but said video has never surfaced). When people called him out on hit, he tried to defend it as claiming said car was "abandoned", and therefor it was somehow okay to vandalize it.

And then of course, when he was on this forum, he claimed that the LEDs he recorded that faded in and out on video actually did that in real life. He's also put his camera in between the tracks to record the train going over it, despite several railroads (including Union Pacific) advising railfans not to do so, and liking to stand underneath lowering crossing gates so they hit him on the head (which might explain some of his behavior... ).

The only time I even watch a video of his anymore is if I want to see a railroad crossing he recorded, and even then I'm usually less than interested in watching it.

Could've sworn he made a post here showcasing the video that (like in the comments of the video), he claimed that the LEDs fading in and out on the video was happening in real life. I remember seeing the post around the time I joined, so it was a few years ago and it may have since been removed.

I'd say his channel started declining in quality a few years ago when he started the "Stupid Orange" series and started trying to do things for laughs rather than just focusing on the trains & crossings. Which is a shame too since he's recorded a lot of cool older CSX crossings, especially in the past.

I'd say his channel started declining in quality a few years ago when he started the "Stupid Orange" series and started trying to do things for laughs rather than just focusing on the trains & crossings. Which is a shame too since he's recorded a lot of cool older CSX crossings, especially in the past.

Eh, they weren't my cup of tea back then either, but I also want to say that it started to take a noticeable nosedive around the time he did the "human railroad crossing" and especially after he started standing underneath lowering crossing gates just to get hit.

I'd personally love to see him trying to pull some of these stunts in the UK where you get an instant £1,000 (sometimes £2,000) fine for trespassing on a railway (including ignoring crossing signals, which might include standing underneath a lowering gate arm). Anyone want to bet how long it'd be before he got one of these fines and/or a visit from the British Transport Police if he ever went over there?
