Glad to see some weather going on, sorry if it will be a big weather maker.

The CPC keeps on changing things around here so drastically that it isn't funny.

It's not that anybody enjoy's seeing other's people property get damaged... etc.

I, for one, just enjoy watching a good thunderstorm (without the damage of course). I get that from my dad. That was one of my memories of growing up... sitting outside in our garage and watching thunderstorms roll in. To this day I still enjoy it.

I like watching the storms too. Of course, I don't like watching peoples property get damaged...but I do enjoy some high winds at times...especially if it results in broken gates... :TUP1:

Same here. That and severe hail. I dealt with that 10 years ago. It was not fun.

Here's my view on the problems...

I do like thunderstorms, and that's the reason why I make such a big deal about the Monsoon here in Arizona. Sure it does get very severe at times, including the severe hail we got 10 years ago.

I want rain as much as the next person, but severe stuff like 70+ MPH winds, 2" hail or larger, and EF1 tornadoes and higher are too scary, and I don't want any part of.

The reason why I like the monsoons is due to the rainfall. I do like thunderstorms to a certain extent, but the lightning and thunder part is the bad part to all of this, it even forces me to shut down my computer, because I don't have any backup battery, and slows my ability to work on submissions for a full 2-3 months.

To add my :2cents: to the discussion, there's nothing wrong with wanting to see tornadoes. They are an amazing spectacle, they and the supercell thunderstorms they develop from are hands down the most spectacular atmospheric phenomena you can witness. There's a big difference between that and wishing for all the destruction and harm they are capable of causing.

Guess I'll add 3 cents... but not about the weather.

Folks, I greatly enjoy reading and participating in this forum, and would be quite upset seeing it go away.

Basically repeating what Mike already said... PLEASE, BE NICE TO ONE ANOTHER! There is no reason for things to get heated like they do here at times. And if you do make a mistake and offend someone, APOLOGIZE!
