bad train horns

Can't have signals without railroads, so talk about your favorite locomotives, railroads and any other (non signal) railroad related stuff.

Bringing something I mentioned in the good horn topic, here's a Metrolink cabcar with an out of tune K5LA.

Quietest horn.No lights or gates at this crossing. This is an accident waiting to happen with the train's speed and horn that's not loud. You can't hear the horn until the train gets to the crossing. The engineer actually blew.

Well one thing the embedding has been disabled, and 2, yeah somethings wrong with that horn. I wonder if the air compressor is leaking or something.

Even though I'm sure it's ignored... there is a "Yield" sign at that crossing which means you need to "yield" for the train. Seems to be good visibility also, so you would be pretty crazy not to see that train barreling down at you.
