Found this video which shows a train plowing into a pickup truck at high speed at a passive crossing, according to the date of the video this was recorded roughly 2 weeks ago.
Not sure why the crossing is passive though, but that's not the best choice of having it near a main road. I found a news report of it, but i've forgotten the link.
News report said the driver was seriously injured on impact, but not dead.
